Fitness trackers up, smart watches down

Basic fitness wearables comprised 85% of the market and experienced double-digit growth. Simplicity and cost are the driving factors that are seeing the “smartwatch” segment bleed, with Apple losing 71% of market share year-on-year.

Australian PC shipments grew 3.2% year-on-year (YoY) beating estimates of a negative 3.5%, according to IDC. This includes desktops, notebooks, PCs and Macs but not hybrids.

Apple’s halcyon days over in China?

Apple’s market share in China is in the toilet as it barely scraped in as number five, losing 31.7% YoY growth in Q2. But almost every other major manufacturer had Apple for lunch and experienced amazing growth.
